I played on two songs on a recent CD by "Jazzed Up," a Worcester-based trio led by pianist/vocalist Mauro DePasquale.
New Jazz Guitarist Book - April 20, 2013
I was included in the book "The Great Jazz Guitarists: The Ultimate Guide" by Scott Yanow (Backbeat Books). I'm honored! The book is available from Amazon, Hal Leonard, Barnes and Noble, and others.
'New CD available! - August 7, 2012
I recorded at Berklee Recording Studios with Jamie MacDonald on bass and Claire Arenius on drums, the same personnel as the live CD "Triangulation." This time we mainly featured original compositions by members of the trio. It's titled "For One Who Waits" (Kyran Music KM 003).
Piano Comping Book - January 29, 2012
My good friend and great pianist Suzanne Davis recently released a terrific book/CD set entitled "Jazz Piano Comping" on Berklee Press (I played the guitar solos and melodies on the CD). Check it out!
Jack Fragomeni CD - November 2, 2011
I've been involved in a true labor of love by producing a posthumous CD release by the wonderful guitarist and my hometown friend Jack Fragomeni (1951-2009). It's entitled "I'm Having a Good Time" (Kyran Music KM 002), and was recorded in 2002 with the outstanding rhythm section of bassist Michael Formanek and drummer Jeff Hirshfield.
'Live CD is available! - September 1, 2010
My CD entitled "Triangulation," is available. It was recorded live in Vermont with bassist Jamie MacDonald and drummer Claire Arenius, and includes some pretty adventuresome stuff!
I recently recorded "Darn That Dream" on solo acoustic guitar for "The Inside Out of Apple Tree Arts" CD, a compilation assembled by a local arts organization.
I wrote the liner notes for Jay Messer's recently released solo guitar CD "Concentration" (Shejazz) recorded on an acoustic archtop guitar. It's simply beautiful!
The Conversation (Jerry Wilfong, Paul Mason, and myself) have been taping a continuing series of shows for GCTV, a Grafton, MA cable television station. The shows include both trio performances and others that feature fine Boston area jazz artists as guests. The complete shows and others are posted on YouTube.
